Self Braces Clear Aligners
The name says it! Our clear aligners are a set of custom made plastic trays made specifically to fit your teeth. The aligners gradually shift teeth into their preferred position.
Our clear aligners come as a set of multiple, personalised aligners. Each aligner will make adjustments to the positioning of teeth, a process that is designed in advance by our Self Braces affiliated, registered dentist who review each case. You’ll begin wearing a new set of aligners as prescribed, advancing you to the next stage of your new smile. Compliance is very important to ensure the treatment works correctly.
If your dentist has recommended removal of wisdom teeth, then please follow their direction. If not, you can purchase an impression where a registered dentist will review your smile for you. If they determine that remote aligner treatment isn’t right for you, we will refund the cost of your impression kit.

Treatment Process
All treatment plans are reviewed, approved and prescribed by a registered dentist.
Everyone is different as this depends on the severity of the mis-alignment and complexity of each case. The average treatment lasts approx. 6 to 9 months.
We recommend you wear them between 20-22 hours a day, only taking them out when eating, drinking and cleaning your teeth.
Some patients may experience some discomfort and tightness in the first few days after wearing new aligners. This is perfectly normal as it is a sign that your aligners are working by moving your teeth into a straighter position. This soreness should gradually go away after the first few days.
Most patients don’t need to make any additional visits to a dentist’s office during their clear aligner treatment. Your progress will be reviewed remotely from the comfort of your own home.
We would advise that you go back and wear your last set of aligners. Replacement of aligners may be subject to a £70 surcharge.
Once you have achieved your desired smile, we provide you with retainers. One set costs £80 and is available to purchase toward the end of your treatment.
If at the end of your treatment plan, having followed the treatment guidelines, you haven’t achieved a straighter smile, our registered dentist will assess and review your results. If you require additional aligners, there would be no charge. However, if additional aligners are required due to lack of compliance then there will be a charge.
